We are seeking an experienced chef to join our team at Den Gamle Major! This is a full-time position (100%), starting on August 25, 2025. The role involves working evenings and weekends.
🔍 What We Look For
- A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences
- Ability to prepare meals according to established routines and profitability goals
- Experience in daily mise en place, lunch service, and event catering
- Familiarity with standard procedures for ingredient handling and hygiene
- Comfort working within our established culinary concept
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and storage areas
- Strong collaboration with service, bar, kitchen, and other departments
- Fluency in English and/or Norwegian
🎯 Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality dishes in line with our gastropub menu
- Ensure compliance with hygiene regulations and cleaning protocols
- Participate in creating an excellent work environment and teamwork
- Maintain a clean and fresh kitchen and storage areas
- Support daily kitchen operations during busy service hours
- Contribute to menu creativity and improvements
