🍽️ Join Our Culinary Team at Saga Trollheimen Hotel – Now Hiring a Chef! 👨‍🍳✨

Saga Trollheimen Hotel is seeking a talented chef to join our kitchen team! We have one full-time (100%) position available, with a start date on April 28, 2025 until November 15th

There will also be the opportunity to work from 15.02.26 - 15.11.26.

Our clientele are mainly workers from Croatia coming in for meals around the same time every day. Approximately 25 people for breakfast and dinner.

🔍 What We Look For

  • Ability to prepare dishes in line with established routines (12-14 dishes on rotation)
  • Experience with cuisine from the Balkan area.
  • Experience working in a professional kitchen, with a focus on quality and consistency
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices, in line with hotel standards
  • Ability to work independently and with 1 kitchen assistent
  • Fluent in Norwegian or English, with good communication skills
  • A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment

  • Ensure daily mise en place is completed efficiently before service
  • Follow established routines for ingredient handling and hygiene

About the company

Like ved Saga Trollheimen Hotel flyter elva Rinna. Den har alltid spilt en viktig rolle i området, og Rindal fikk navnet sitt etter elva. Etter hvert begynte man å bruke elva til å fløte tømmer ned til sagbruket. Ole Heggem, Mortens bestefar, var bas for tømmerfløtingen. Aktiviteten var stor, og sagbruket var et naturlig sentrum for virksomheten. Senere kjøpte Emil Gåsvand, Mortens far, sagbruket.

I 1987 brant sagbruket ned til grunnen. Nye tider gjorde det uaktuelt å bygge sagbruket opp igjen. Det var da Morten fikk ideen om å bruke tomta til å bygge et "sagarike" - en gjenskapelse av gamle dagers bygdeliv. I 1991 sto første del klar i form av regionens første håndlaftede nordmørslån (våningshus) på over 100 år. Den nybygde låna fikk navnet Saga Skysstasjon. Den vakte stor interesse og fikk blant annet byggeskikkprisen for 1994.

Morten så snart potensialet i å bygge et turistanlegg med norsk kultur og historie som tema. I samarbeid med bedriften Rindalshytter, ble livsverket hans smått om senn satt ut i livet. Saga Trollheimen Hotel var en realitet.
