Home Hotel Gabelshus Do you want to be part of our fantastic team? Chef - 20% Position Home Hotel Gabelshus is looking to strengthen our kitchen team and has an open position for a Chef in a 20% role. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a dynamic team in a busy and exciting workplace. As a Chef, you will work shifts both independently and occasionally with an apprentice, in addition to waiter(s). Your main tasks will include preparing daily production, ensuring the implementation/adherence to food safety regulations (IK mat), and delivering delicious, flavorful dishes according to set menus. You will primarily work evenings (Fridays and Saturdays) every other weekend with our exciting concept "Dinner, Home Hotels"," which is our evening buffet offered to between 30 and 200 guests. Periodically, we also host events and smaller banquets for up to 50 people, so it is desirable that you can also help out in a team, in these types of events from the kitchen side, together with a team consisting of another chef or an apprentice. For this Chef position, we are looking for someone who preferably has two years of experience in the culinary profession and holds a certified trade certificate. Longer experience as a kitchen assistant and work with canteen/buffet can also be considered. We are looking for someone who is flexible, has a good sense of humor, possesses strong communication skills, is hardworking and conscientious, and, of course, has a great passion for good food! You should be proficient in one of the Scandinavian languages, although this is not a strict requirement. A minimum is good communication skills in English. This position can be an excellent stepping stone to a higher position at Gabelshus or other hotels within the chain.
