Seasonal Chef or Power Couple Wanted – Aurlandsdalen

Are you ready to spend your summer surrounded by some of Norway's most breathtaking fjords and mountains? Aurlandsdalen is looking for a skilled, independent Chef—or a dynamic Chef & Housekeeper couple—to join our team for the 2026 summer season.

The Details Location: Aurland, Norway Period: May 10th – September 14th Wage: 270 NOK per hour (for qualified Chefs) Perks: Free accommodation included!

The Role: A la Carte Chef We are looking for a "hands-on" professional with culinary training and a genuine passion for the craft. In our kitchen, the chef is the heart of the operation. You won't just be cooking; you’ll be creating the full guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Full Spectrum Cooking: Prepare everything from breakfast and staff meals to lunch buffets and 3-course dinner buffets. The Classics: A love for traditional Norwegian cuisine is a must (think rømmegrøt, meatballs, and fresh fish). Baking & Pastry: You must be comfortable baking fresh bread and cakes, as well as plating delicious desserts. Kitchen Management: Handling deliveries, cleaning your station, and managing stock. Workload & Team: You will work alongside one other chef, though you must be confident working solo during their off-days. Volume: Lunch varies from 2–25 covers; dinner buffets range from 15 to 120 guests. In high season, you will be supported by our seasonal hotel staff.

Requirements Formal culinary training/Chef’s certificate. Versatile skills (A la carte, buffet, and baking). An independent, "can-do" work ethic. Comfortable in a fast-paced but rewarding rural environment.
