About the position

Do you want to spend your summer surrounded by some of Norway’s most breathtaking mountain scenery while working in a busy and social café environment?

Gjendeosen Café is looking for a seasonal chef to join the team from June 20th until September 6th for the summer season in the heart of the Norwegian mountains.

About the Job

You will work in a small kitchen team of 2–3 chefs serving guests from all over the world during the busy summer season.

The menu is simple, fast-paced, and quality-focused, including:

  • Burgers
  • Smash burgers
  • Fish dishes
  • Lunch service
  • Meat dishes
  • Various café and seasonal lunch items

This role suits someone who enjoys working efficiently, staying organized under pressure, and being part of a close-knit seasonal team.

We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • Has experience working as a chef or cook
  • Speaks a Scandinavian language or English
  • Is reliable, positive, and flexible
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Can handle busy service periods calmly and professionally
  • Is a non-smoker
  • Has a healthy and professional attitude toward alcohol

Working Hours Typical shifts include:

  • 10:00 – 18:00
  • 15:00 – 21:00

Seasonal work with varying pace depending on weather and tourism flow.
