Vilma Sjøbad, a boutique hotel and event destination on the beautiful Oslofjord coastline, is seeking two chefs to join our culinary team. We have full-time (100%) positions available, starting June 01, 2025. As we prepare to open our doors, we invite you to become part of our journey in delivering a unique seaside dining experience.
🔍 What We Look For
- A strong passion for creating memorable dining experiences
- Experience in preparing high-quality dishes in line with established concepts
- Capability to perform daily mise en place and manage kitchen operations during lunch and events
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members in various departments
- Fluent in English, with knowledge of Norwegian being a plus
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen is essential
🎯 Responsibilities
- Prepare and present dishes that align with our trattoria's Italian food concept
- Ensure daily mise en place is completed efficiently
- Follow established routines and profitability goals in food preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen and storage areas
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service
- Adhere to food safety standards and hotel hygiene protocols
- Contribute positively to the kitchen environment and team spirit
- Work evenings and weekends as part of the role
