Chef/ Night guard. (Immediate Start) — MOT Camp, Norway

Working Hours & Shift Structure

Our schedule is varied and built around meals. We’re flexible to adapt to what works best for the team:

Shift Type Hours Notes Lunch shift 08:00 – 15:00 Mondays and regular days Dinner shift 14:00 – 20:00 “Resting night” shift 23:00 – 06:00 Half pay (on-call sleeping hours) Breakfast shift 06:00 – 09:00

We often combine dinner + resting night + breakfast in one rotation to ensure coverage while respecting rest. The final schedule will be agreed upon in collaboration with the team.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee and execute lunch, dinner, and breakfast services

  • Plan, prepare, and innovate seasonal and menu items

  • Maintain kitchen standards: hygiene, food safety (HACCAP), inventory, waste control, and cost management

  • Mentor and lead a small kitchen team with warmth and clear communication

  • Collaborate with management on budgeting, procurement, and continuous improvements

  • Be on call for “resting night” when combined with other shifts

Who You Are

  • Experience as Chef, Sous Chef, or Lead Cook in a busy kitchen

  • Strong palate, creative approach, and attention to presentation

  • Solid understanding of cost control, purchasing, and scheduling

  • Flexible, reliable, and a team player

  • Fluent in English (Norwegian is a plus)

  • Eligible to work in Norway, able to start ASAP
